Good morning, Over the last few days I have been monitoring the projected weather for tomorrow, Friday. The models are all over the place, some with little snow predicted and others with a lot. Most of them do agree on a start time for the snow: 2:00 pm. With safety first in mind, I have consulted with our bus director to ensure that if we planned for a half day, we could get all bus routes in and buses returned to the garage before 2:00 pm. I have also spoken with our food service director because we will be serving lunch as we do on other half days. I do believe that we can safely transport students to and from school tomorrow on a half-day schedule. I know half days are not always easy on families, especially with younger students who need an adult at home in order to be dropped off by the bus, so I wanted to give you as much notice as possible. MS/HS dismissal: 11:30 am Larson dismissal: 11:45 am It is possible that you may see other districts around us making different choices. If you have any questions, please let me know. Due to the weather, all afterschool activities and events are canceled. Visibility is reduced, so please be extra careful if you are driving to pick up your child after school. Likewise, buses are likely to be traveling slower than usual - your patience is much appreciated.

We join with others all across the nation to celebrate Public Schools Week! Our schools, staff, families, community, and Board of Education all work together to benefit our students. We've come a long way since the establishment of the first public school in what would become the United States - the Boston Latin School in 1635 (still operating today, in a different building). #PSW23 #HornetPride
