Following Spring Break, our medical provider will be out for 12 weeks on maternity leave. We will have a medical provider on Mondays, Stacey Williamson, FNP and she will only be seeing students. Some of you are already familiar with Stacey when she shadowed in our clinic. Our medical assistant will still be available for OTC medications, bandages, or other mild nurse concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience in the interim, and thank you for your patience until Michelle returns.

We hope to see you there! #HornetPride #HornetNation

Hornet Nation,
We are in the midst of formulating a new strategic plan for Harrison Community Schools, and truly value your opinion of how we are doing and our future story. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WKMPWBQ - it is open to everyone in our community.
Thank you,
Strategic Planning Advisory Board

We thank our HCS social workers for the exceptional and invaluable contributions they make to our community every day. We wish you a celebratory Social Work Month and hope you feel recognized, honored, and empowered this month and beyond!

For our 10th-12th graders and families. #HornetPride

We hope all middle school families are able to attend.
Tonight is especially important for eighth students and their parents/guardians -- you will be signing up for ninth grade classes!

We have been experiencing a noticeable uptick in the number of our students being diagnosed with Influenza A. This virus spreads mainly by droplets made when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. Flu symptoms can include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills, tiredness, and sometimes vomiting and diarrhea. Not everyone with the flu will have a fever.
If your child is sick, please keep them home to rest for at least 24 hours AFTER their fever is gone without medicine (if they have one) and symptoms have improved or resolved.
If you have questions about symptoms or worsening of symptoms, please contact your medical provider.

Kudos to teacher Christie Seefeld on the release of her new book, "Bilingual Classroom Adventures." She is truly a lifelong learner! #HornetPride
