Out of an abundance of caution regarding bus safety on the roads later, SPARKS is canceled for tonight, January 23. Afterschool practices are still in place as of now, and we will continue to monitor the weather and the roads.

As we look at the weather for today, especially when the first snow is expected to begin and when heavier snow is to follow, we will proceed with our scheduled 1/2 day of school. Thank you all for your patience,
We are grateful for all of the hard work of the Road Commission. We are also watching the weather storm warnings for tomorrow during the day, and into the evening. Since we only are scheduled for a half day on Friday, we are hopeful to be able to safely transport students to and from school before the dangerous part of the storm hits. You may see other districts who have full days slated make a decision tonight; we may not make ours until early in the morning. Thank you for your continued understanding.
Due to snow covered backroads, Harrison Community Schools will be closed today, Thursday, January 11th.

Tonight's basketball games in Meridian are going forward as planned. Other teams may practice, but attendance is voluntary. Be safe while traveling!
Just a reminder to all that Friday, January 12, will remain a scheduled half day of attendance for students, with teachers completing record marking in the afternoon as we conclude semester 1.
