Happy Homecoming! Our parade begins at 5:30 pm, behind Hillside. The game against Beaverton begins at 7:00 pm. See you there! #HornetPride #HornetNation

We are grateful for the leadership of Mrs. Andera, Mr. Ashcroft, Mr. Carlstrom, Mrs. Hargraves, Mrs. Thrush, and Mrs. VanAntwerp! #HornetPride

On our half day yesterday, teachers were in a variety of locations, focused on student-centered learning. We recognize that half days can be hard on families, so we truly appreciate the support of our community! #HornetNation

Wednesday, October 4 is Count Day!

Tuesday, October 3 is a half day for students, with secondary dismissing at 11:32 am, and elementary at 11:40 am. Staff will be engaged in professional learning in the afternoon.

Three examples of the multitude of learning happening today. Did you know that our high schoolers interested in education have the opportunity to spend an hour of their day at Larson, working with students and teachers? Also pictured are mathematicians working with Mrs. Romanowski, and our secondary science teachers learning together around student engagement. #HornetPride

Homecoming is next week! Check each school's individual page for spirit week themes.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) is picture day for the Hive and the High School.
PreK, Larson, and the Middle School have picture day on October 10.

Harrison Middle School is looking for coaches for 7th Grade Girls Basketball, 7th Grade Boys Basketball, 8th Grade Girls Basketball and 8th Grade Boys Basketball. Please see postings for application information.

Please consider volunteering this Saturday, September 9th at the Clare County Fairgrounds in Harrison. Remember to bring a safety vest and/or box cutter if you have them. Volunteers (age 14 and up), with the ability to lift and carry food multiple times to load food into vehicles, are needed from 9:00 a.m. until early afternoon. For more information, please send an email to Clarecofood@gmail.com. Community service credits are available.

Our Hornets receive one free breakfast and one free lunch per day at school without worrying about qualifying based on income. While that is exciting, we still need everyone to complete and return the "Education Benefits Form". The eligibility determinations from the submitted forms are used for much more than meals -- state at-risk funding calculations, local distribution of Title I funding, and waiving testing fees. If you have already returned your form, thank you! If you have not done so yet, please try to do it next week.

Reserve your booth space today for the 2023 Craft Fair November 18th at Harrison High School.
