Local Scholarships -- Online Applications

  • Clare County Kiwanis Career Technical Scholarship

The fund provides annual awards to graduating seniors of all of Clare County accredited High Schools pursuing studies in Career Technical programs. These programs may be fulfilled at four year universities, colleges, community colleges, or accredited career technical post-secondary institutions.

The scholarship fund is made possible through an agreement entered into and between the Clare County Kiwanis Club and the Clare County Community Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to finance the Clare County Kiwanis Career Technical Endowed Scholarship.

A scholarship committee from each high school will recommend one or more students to receive an award. Consideration for this scholarship should be given to applicants who have demonstrated individual improvement and achievement through hard work, dedication, attendance and interest in continuing their career in a field of technical education. Consideration should also be given to the financial need of the applicant and reasons for applying stated in the application. Transcripts will be used in the selection process but no minimum grade point average is required.

Applicants will be selected based on recommendation from the schools attended and the Kiwanis Scholarship Application questions. The Clare County Community Foundation would expect to follow the scholarship committee recommendations but reserve the right to accept or reject them.
