Harrison All-Sports Boosters
Harrison Community Schools All Sports Boosters Seeking Successors
What are Harrison Community Schools All Sports Boosters? What do they do?
Boosters earn their funds by running concessions at events, holding an annual golf outing, and selling signs for the football field. The Boosters non-profit organization then uses these funds to purchase things like uniforms, field repairs and improvements, equipment, and even at times, tournament costs. Each high school team is on a uniform rotation, and Boosters purchase new uniforms when it is each sports turn in the rotation. This coming year we are focusing some efforts on upgrading our football stadium bleachers to be ADA compliant.
Our current members are proud to have participated in Harrison Community Schools All Sports Boosters and promote these improvements over the years. However, many members have resigned in the last several months, leaving a skeleton board. The reality is that if we are not able to recruit NEW Boosters members willing to take over operations, this extremely beneficial body will cease to exist, and the student athletes will suffer, unfortunately.
Harrison Community Schools All Sports Boosters urges you to come to our next meeting on Wednesday, June 23rd, in the Harrison High School Cafeteria at 5:30 pm. Anyone willing to donate a few hours a month should come to a meeting. We will welcome you with open arms! We are a great group of people who enjoy helping Harrison Community Schools youth, but it’s time for the torch to be passed onto those parents who have children participating in sports. Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you at the meeting on June 23rd!
