    MARCH:  Important things to Remember  

    NJHS Announcement:  NJHS will sell St. Patrick's Day Bracelets during lunch this Thursday & Friday, March 14th and 15th.  Cost for the bracelet is $1.00. 

    NJHS is ALSO helping HOMEBOUND Senior Citizens, we are collectin items for the Clare County Kindness Project.  Items collected between now and 3-21 will be dontated to HOME-BOUND seniors in our community. The following items are being collected:  toiletries, non-perishable food, winter hats, scarves, gloves, warm socks, blank journals, activity books, lap blankets, incontinence pads, generic pet food, laundry soap, dish soap, and protein drinks (like Ensure). 

    PIES FOR PUPPIES:  NJHS is sponsoring, The Clare county Animal Shelter.  Buy a raffle ticket for a chance to throw a pie in the face of a staff member.  Two lucky students will be drawn from each grade and they will be given the chance to throw a pie at a participating staff member.  Tickets are 50 cents each and will be sold during lunch starting Monday March 11th.  This event will happen after Mock Rock.  Remember it's for ALL the puppies and kittens at the shelter so, "SHOW ME THE MONEY"!!  :)  The Assembly will be April 19th


    MOCK ROCK:  Students interested in Mock Rock; auditions are Tuesday 2-26 and Thursday 2-28 during lunch.  Judges are looking for students who can sing, lip sync, or play musical instruments.  You may perform solo or as a gorup.  the Mock Rock show will be March 22nd.  


    TRACK SEASON: Sign up sheet for Bolys and Girls track will be located on Ms. Cooper's doorr outside of her room (Room 411) in 7th/8th grade hall.  The sign-up sheet will be posted through Friday March 15th.  You must have your physical done before our first practice on Monday, March 18th.  


    BOOK READERS CLUB:  FIRST LUNCH:  Mondays and Wednesdays.  SECOND LUNCH:  Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Students must have a book, no talking, students who are disruptive will return to the cafeteria.  This is a time for students who enjoy reading and want a quiet place to escape into a good book.  


    SPARKS still has openings for students.  After school until 5:10.  Dinner, snack and bussing are provided.  Homework help during SPARKS is also provided.  If you are interested, please stop by the office and get a registration packet.


    DETENTION:  If your child has been assigned detention; this occurs on Thursday from 3:10-4:10.  If your child has been assigned Saturday detention this occurs from 9-12:00.   


    SCHOOL HOURS:  8:00 to 3:03.
