Harrison High School is now in its 13th year of Character Counts Student of the Month. One student in each of the four grades is honored each month for exhibiting good character through his/her work ethic, responsibility, and being a good role model. Businesses donate coupons to the students, which HHS appreciates.

The following businesses are helping sponsor this school year:

Chelsea Myers
9th Grade

     On July 2nd, 1993, Brian and Kim Myers had a daughter. She is now a freshman in high school, and the Character Counts Student of the Month for May!

“Chelsea is fantastic!” says one of her teachers. Chelsea’s favorite classes are Drama and Spanish. Some of her friends here at HHS are Taylor Suhan, Tiffany Allen, Brianna Seale, Nicole Iutzi, and Kayla Hutchins.

“Sensitive, smart, and responsible!” these are the words that Chelsea used to describe herself. On her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, reading, and writing.

After high school, Chelsea plans to go to college at MSU to become an accountant.

Aubrey Kemp
10th Grade

     On October 22nd, 1992, Nadine and Jeff Kemp had a daughter. She is now a sophomore in high school, and the Character Counts Student of the Month for May!

     “Aubrey is very kind and creative!” says one of her teachers. Aubrey is involved in Band and Natural Helpers. Her favorite classes are Band, Art, and Biology. Some of her friends here at HHS are Alaura Soto, Jessie Dyke, Tarah Condell, Cassie Turner, Megan Carrington, and Sean Dudley.

     “Goofy, different, and colorful!” these are the words that Aubrey used to describe herself. On her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, drawing, reading, and baking.

     After high school, Aubrey plans to go to college and get a Masters degree in baking, and a Bachelors degree in art. She would also like to add this “If you think your life is boring, then do something about it, otherwise, you’ll still be bored.”

Jarred Shaw
11th Grade

     On November 2nd, 1991, Trevor and Renee Shaw had a son. He is now a junior in high school, and the Character Counts Student of the Month for May!

     “Jarred is a quiet and competent student!” says one of his teachers. Jarred is involved in Baseball in the spring, and skiing in the winter. His favorite classes are Body Conditioning and Lunch. Some of his friends here at HHS are Tucker Heintz, John Hudson, Timothy Henry, David Sharp, and many, many more.

     “Fun, active, and energetic!” these are the words that Jarred used to describe himself. On his spare time, Jarred enjoys hanging out with friends and riding his dirt bike.

     After high school, Jarred plans to go to college to be an electrician.

Kelsey Taylor
12th Grade

     On July 2nd, 1990, Kelly and Roger Taylor had a daughter. She is now a senior in high school, and the Character Counts Student of the Month for May!

     “Kelsey is pleasant to other students and staff!” says one of her teachers. Kelsey is involved in Volleyball, Softball, and Basketball. Her favorite classes are Science classes. Some of her friends here at HHS are Laura LaPorte, Ashley Moore, Kelsey Callison, Tisha Gazley, Rebe Henry, and Tiffani Lewis.

     “Motivated, determined, and outgoing!” these are the words that Kelsey used to describe herself. On her spare time, Kelsey enjoys hanging out with friends and family.

     Kelsey just graduated, so she is going to be headed to college to be a nurse.
