MMCC Scholarships

Admissions Award $400.00 ($200.00 fall/winter semesters)
	Awarded to High School Seniors who have a high school GPA between 2.0 and 2.9. This scholarship is non-need based, must be used for the semester for which it is awarded, cannot be held for attendance in a different semester, and the student must maintain full-time status (12 credit hours or more). The number of scholarships awarded is based on the availability of funds. Scholarship is for one year (fall and winter semesters). No application is needed.
Federal Broach Scholarship $500.00 ($250.00 per semester)
	Offered to one Harrison High School student and one Farwell High School student who's GPA falls between 2.8 and 3.5. Students must also demonstrate financial need and be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more) in one of the following programs at MMCC: Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Management & Marketing, or Business Information Systems.
Eugene W. Gillaspy Honors Scholarship $600.00 ($300.00 per semester)
	Awarded to students who are returning for their second consecutive year of college and receive either the Admissions, Trustee's or Technical Education scholarship, and have attained a 3.0 to 4.0 GPA. This scholarship is non-need based, must be used for the semester for which it is awarded, cannot be held for attendance in a different semester, and the student must maintain full-time status (12 credit hours or more). The number of scholarships awarded is based on the availability of funds. Scholarship is for one year (fall and winter semesters). This scholarship is good for one year (fall and winter semesters) and will automatically be assigned to the student's financial aid account. No application is needed.
Pre Engineering Scholarship $600.00 ($300.00 per semester for two consecutive semesters)
	Awarded to full-time incoming freshman who is majoring in Pre-Engineering and has a minimum GPA of 3.5. Recipient must take MAT 124 or higher the first semester to continue this scholarship & must also maintain a 3.5 college GPA to receive the scholarship the second semester.
Genevieve Sweeney Memorial Scholarship $400.00 ($200.00 per semester)
	Awarded to a Harrison High School Senior. Preference will be given to students who are not recipients of other financial aid and who are students of literature or theater. Students maintaining a minimum 2.0 GPA may receive the scholarship for two consecutive semesters or one semester and one summer session.
Technical Education Award $500.00 ($250.00 per semester)
	This scholarship is offered to individuals who enroll in one of the following programs: Automotive Technology; Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning; Industrial Technology/Drafting & Design; Industrial Technology/Machine Tool; Business Information Systems; Graphic Design; or Welding Technology; or M-TEC classes. The student must have a 2.0 or higher GPA to receive the award. The scholarship is for one year (fall and winter semesters). The Technical Education Award is non-need based and must be used for the semester for which it was awarded and cannot be held for attendance in a different semester. Selection for this scholarship is on a first come, first serve basis. High school senior or alternative education students should submit their transcript with six completed semesters in order to qualify.

Trustee's Scholarship $600.00 ($300.00 fall/winter semesters)
	Awarded to high school or alternative education seniors. Applicants must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 to 4.0. This scholarship is non-need based, must be used for the semester for which it is awarded, cannot be held for attendance in a different semester, and the student must maintain full-time status (12 credit hours or more). The number of scholarships awarded is based on the availability of funds. Scholarship is for one year (fall and winter semesters). No application is needed.
Tandem Transport Scholarship $500.00 ($250.00 per semester)
	Awarded to a new student to MMCC who demonstrates financial need for one year (students may reapply for a 2nd year). Students must be residents of the Clare-Gladwin Regional Educational District, have a background in agriculture and or 4-H participation. Students must maintain a minimum 2.5 overall GPA and be enrolled full-time. Application to this scholarship requires a composition (no more than 500 words) which addresses each of the following: Educational, Community, Career goals, and interests, and Agricultural and/or 4-H affiliation. Pick up and return your completed application and composition at the MMCC Financial Aid Office.
President's Scholarship $1,600.00 ($800.00 fall/winter semesters)
	Awarded for one year (fall and winter semesters) to one student from each in-district high school with the highest GPA. This scholarship is non-need based, must be used for the semester for which it is awarded, cannot be held for attendance in a different semester, and the student must maintain full-time status (12 credit hours or more). The number of scholarships awarded is based on the availability of funds. Scholarship is for one year (fall and winter semesters). No application is needed.
