Harrison Elementary PTO (Parent/Teacher Organization) is made up of teachers, principals and concerned parents who want to be more involved in their school. This meets six to eight times a year and revisits and revises the goals the PTO wants to achieve. During these meetings the PTO addresses concerns, is informed and updated on the educational progress of the school, and plans student activities. The PTO has been a tremendous help to the students and staff of the HCS Elementary Schools.

PTO has fund-raisers in the Fall and Spring. In December, Larson and Hillside will host Secret Santa's Workshop. Both elementary schools will host a carnival in the Spring. All proceeds from fund-raisers are used to purchase items for the children to us in the classrooms, playground, library and school. Some items that have been purchased through the fundraising efforts of the PTO are: computers, computer programs, maps, trade books for the classrooms and library, monthly good behavior rewards, playground equipment, new stage curtains, AR books & computer tests, field trips, assemblies, etc.

If you are interested in being part of the PTO, please join us at our meetings which are held in the Board/Conference Room at Hillside Elementary. Everyone is welcome. It is not necessary to attend every meeting in order to be a part of the PTO. If you are interested in being a volunteer in a classroom, helping during fund-raiser or any PTO projects, but cannot attend the meeting, there will be a form sent home for you to fill out and send back in to the school. We appreciate your valuable time and willingness to help. You will be contacted when help is needed in the area(s) for which you have volunteered.
