About the Play
| The set takes place in old run down brownstone apartment
on East 48th Street, NYC in the middle of winter. The optimistic newlywed
bride (Corie) loves her apartment with all her heart and can't wait to
begin her marital life. Her less than optimistic husband (Paul) is a
lawyer and thinks a little less of the apt. than his wife. Together, they
meet their eccentric & flamboyant neighbor (Victor Velasco) who resides in
the attic of the apt, is an epicurean and brings odd adventure to the
newlywed's life. In the end, Paul goes crazy. Corie wants a divorce.
Corie's square and straight Mother ends dating crazy Velasco and the whole
story takes an interesting twist. |
