The month of May marks the end of what has been a very busy and
productive school year. Over the course of the next few weeks we
will be finishing our track season, sending our students on their
reward field trips, and hosting the Eighth Grade Farewell Dance.
On Monday, May 19th, at 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., I would like to invite
all Middle School students and parents to an Open House which will
showcase student work and achievements. Staff members are working
very hard to plan this evening and are looking forward to having you
come and share with them the academic successes of your son or
daughter. I would also like to invite incoming sixth graders and
their parents to tour the facilities and speak to their future
teachers. Refreshments will be served.
The end of the school year has finally been set and there has
been a minor adjustment to the school calendar. Please make a note
that there will be no school on Friday, May 23rd and Monday, May
26th. The last day of school has been pushed back to Wednesday,
May 28th. Students will be released at 12:05 p.m. Exams will be
scheduled for Tuesday, May 27th and Wednesday, May 28th.
Like past summers, S.P.A.R.K.S. will be planning our summer
school program. If you would like more information please contact
our office or Mr. Munger of the S.P.A.R.K.S. program.
Report Cards will be available beginning Monday, June 2nd. The
office will be open from 8:00 – 3:45 p.m. We will be closed for
lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
It has been a great year and I appreciate all of the support. I
wish the outgoing class of 2012 many successes as they transition to
the High School. On behalf of the school staff I would like to wish
you and your families a safe and enjoyable summer.
