Thank you!

UPCOMING EVENTS
Special events coming up in S.P.A.R.K.S.

April 16th, Wednesday Special Speaker, Pam Millhiser will be here to talk to all the groups.

April 22nd, Tuesday, Bowling Night again, at Snowbird Lanes!

April 30th, Larson Parent/Child Make-n-Take night. (3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) We still have S.p.a.r.k.s. on this night for those whose parents can’t come. Those who can come, please remember to sign your child out.

Last day of S.p.a.r.k.s. will be Thursday, May 8th.

We’re currently covering the following in our S.P.A.R.K.S. program at Larson Elementary:

Math: Reviewing facts along with stories.
Craft: Check out what we make with a clothes pin and pipe cleaners, also: did you see the binoculars the kids made?
Language Arts: Games to practice reading, along with reviewing story parts, etc.
Technology: Variety of games to encourage the children in math and reading.
Recreation: The race keeps going! We have had some receive prizes for their 50 laps mark and also for their 100 laps mark!
Homework Help: Still being offered from 3:45 to 4:15 for those who need it! We won’t be offering it on the day we go bowling, due to our time frame.
Science: Wild plant walks, planting seeds, making things with what they’ve found from their walks, etc.

Don’t forget about Bowling ~ We’re still going on Tuesday, April 22nd and your child will need to wear a nice pair of socks that day. We’ll be at Snowbird Lanes, and I will have a sign out sheet for those parents who want to come and watch us bowl then take them home. For that reason, I’ve included in the permission slip a spot to let me know if your child needs to bring their backpack to the bowling alley with them or not. Please do not send any money for snacks or vendor machines.

We want to use all our time bowling! Be sure to turn in a signed permission slip by this Friday, April 11th. Just like last time, if there is no permission slip then your child/children will not be able to stay for S.P.A.R.K.S. that Tuesday, April 22th because I need all my staff to help at the bowling alley!

Bowling Permission Slip for Larson S.P.A.R.K.S.

We will be bowling at Snowbird Lanes on April 22nd from 3:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Please fill out and return this permission slip to your child’s teacher before Friday, April 11, 2008. Thank you.
