Larson's Mileage Club During Recess

Larson Elementary offers a run/walk program during recess time for kindergarten, first grade and second grade students. The Mileage Club is a powerful and motivating activity that encourages young people to set a goal of walking/running a specified distance. The excitement, fun and joy of powerful peer support to train and perform the actual run/walk, and the resulting satisfaction of a job well done are contagious. The Mileage Club enhances young people’s aerobic scores and helps to combat weight issues.
