From Mr. Hellberg-
I have decided to make a schedule that allows us to work before the fair
and then have some half day practices after the fair which is the week
before school starts. I understand that some of you will not be able to
make every rehearsal. I do want to know as much in advance when you will
be missing. Remember that our motto this year is going to be "ONE BAND-ONE
SOUND" when individuals can not make it, it does affect the whole. My
email address and phone number will be on the bottom of this letter or you
could contact either of the Drum Majors as well. I am also going to list
the Section Leaders for the 08-09 season:
Band Director: Mr. J. Hellberg
Drum Majors: Blake Allison, Alaura Soto
Section Leaders:
Flute Paige Schultz
Clarinet Christina Rulapaugh
Saxophone Faye Cover and Eyvonne Myers (co-captain)
French Horn Aubrey Kemp
Trumpet Jon Haley/Val Bondie
Trombone Megan Carrington
Baritone Lindsey Querro
Percussion Kayla Montney
These are the people chosen by their classmates. I have no problem with
any of those on this list, but I am going to say with this great honor
comes great responsibility. You will have to make every attempt to be at
every rehearsal. Also know members of the HHS Marching Hornets, that any
one of these section leaders can give you advice at any time. I will have
no disrespect of any of my students no matter what instrument they play or
what their grade level is!MARCHING BAND
