This paperwork will be sent home on the 1st day of school and will need to be returned to the teacher.

Classroom Discipline Plan

Dear 6^th grade parents:

These are the rules in all of the 6^th grade classrooms.  These rules will be in effect at all times:

• Respect yourself and others
• Be in seat and prepared on time
• Listen to learn
• Limit disruptions

If a student chooses to break a rule, the following corrective actions will be imposed:

First time a student breaks a rule:       Warning

Second time:                                        5 minutes of recess

Third time:                                           Phone call to parents

Fourth time:                                         Sent to HIVE and write a letter to the teacher

Fifth time:                                            Parent conference

Severe misbehavior, such as fighting or verbal abuse, will result in the immediate imposition of the Severity clause: Sent to the HIVE and will be dealt with by the principal.

Students who behave appropriately will be supported with verbal reinforcement, positive notes, small rewards and other special privileges.  

We have already discussed this plan with your child, but we would appreciate it if you would review it together, then sign and return the form below to your child’s 6^th grade teacher.
